Who am I?

Hello, my name is Phillip J Seaman, I'm single, retired and looking for a fun seasonal place to work and live.

As a people person I’m not afraid to talk to perfect strangers and love to make your guests feel at ease and fill them with the knowledge to make their visit more enjoyable and memorable. I am detail orientated and a good organizer with office and management skills.

I keep my graphic and computer skills active by editing & publishing a quarterly digital newsletter for the San Fransisco based Islander 36 Association (click here), also familiar with lighting analog and digital DMX controllers & software.

My preference of position is as lighting designer, sound engineer, or front desk. Will exchange F/T gig for FHU & $$

In my previous life I was a touring lighting designer/director, sound engineer at Whisky-a-Go-Go, project manager, business owner, sailor, and computer programmer. I am comfortable being around computers and a quick learner, experienced in the MS Office suite.

I am used to being a self-starter, working in teams or alone, it's all good with me.

I am a pro-active person who likes to plan ahead for the worst but expects the best in life.

NOTE: I have become very aware that in this chapter of life there is an opportunity to relive some of my youth... I am really enjoying working as a resort Sound and Lighting engineer/designer. It is allowing my creative juices to flow once again so if you have a busy ballroom or clubhouse that has dances, concerts, etc then please lets chat.

I could very easily be persuaded to take on the permanent position as your lighting designer/director at an RV Resort with a ballroom that is actively entertaining guests year round.

Show me your toys and "lets chat".

Note(s):

After thirty plus years of sailing, coastal and ocean, and living on my own sail boats I was forced to give up the sailing life due to a broken heart (no... not a woman this time, too many actual heart attacks). I exchanged my "ocean yacht" for a "land yacht" in 2012.

In 2016 I went full-time with the gypsy life-style in my RV. Going from a '74 Islander 36ft sail boat to a '97 Discovery 36ft Class-A diesel pusher. This the equivalent to moving from a single apartment to a luxury penthouse.

Summer of 2017 became my first full season as a Workamper and I look forward to many more years of fun exciting jobs while I travel and meet new people and experience exciting places with all the wonderful history that the West Coast has to offer.

Thank you for reading my resume and giving me the opportunity to introduce myself.

This is not a career resume so it may not answer all your queries. Please do not hesitate to contact me Phill@AnalogGoesDigital.com or 805/202-6717
