Full-Time RVers - Working and Enjoying the Adventure
We are Dave and Suzy Myers. In June of 2010, my husband and I made a major life decision. With the kids grown and gone,we were ready to begin a new chapter in our lives. But we really weren’t sure what that change would be.
Both of us had jobs in the city. I was an Executive Assistant in a huge corporation, and my husband was a Fleet Manager in another large company. Both of us were tired of the major commute (an hour and a half each way). Both of us were tired of our jobs; tired of city life; tired of the crowds. Let’s face it, we were just plain tired.
We needed to come up with a new plan.
I created the website, Suzy’s Sitcom, which focuses on arts, crafts and DIY. I also have a website called Daily Holiday Blog where I celebrate all those thousands of random holidays throughout the year.
Once the websites became successful, it was easier to put our plan into action. It took us five years, but finally in April of last year, we hit the road. We are currently work kampers for KOA. Work kamping provided us the extra income needed to supplement our website income and gave us the opportunity to go ahead with our dreams.
We sold our house and most everything we owned, and now live full time in our RV. We have worked a season in Bar Harbor, Maine, St. Petersburg, FL, and now are working at the Williams Circle Pines KOA just outside of the Grand Canyon.
Where we go next is still up in the air. But that is the fun of it!
