Gary and Pam are both retired. Gary and Pam are finishing up their workamper position in Arizona for the winter. They are looking for their 2021 workamper experience located in Northern Illinois/Southern/Central Wisconsin and are available to start early May 2021 or after.
Gary using his general/grounds maintenance and heavy equipment operation experience; Pam in computer skills, customer service, general office/clerical skills as well as her occasional light housekeeping skills.
Gary and Pam look forward to new adventures, learning opportunities and welcome any challenges that they may encounter. Together they have the ability to accomplish their assigned tasks as they are flexible and are driven by your satisfaction.
Collectively Gary and Pam have a wealth of skills and experiences to offer you. Gary has experience in maintenance including mechanical and grounds, landscaping and heavy equipment operation. He takes great pride in his work. Pam has worked many years assisting customers with their needs, working with computers including data bases and general office skills. Owned a new construction cleaning company. Pam is a quick learner and exceptionally organized.
Honesty, integrity, reliability and good work ethics are just few qualities that Gary and Pam possess. They believe that honest and open communication are must haves to keep motivated and an integral part of team work.
Gary worked for Dane County landfill as a heavy equipment operator for over 30 years working with a diversity of employees and managers. He was on call 24/7.Gary has made changes to homes including simple electrical wiring, plumbing and carpentry upgrades and repairs, painting, installation of knotty pine walls, wood trim, and installation of blinds.
As a workamper Gary has mowed a four-acre lawn using various mowers including riding and push, extended black tank dump, add 50 amp and 30 amp services, install back flow preventers, clean out fire pits, moving of picnic tables, delivery of wood to sites and collect money, power wash pool furniture, monitor pool filter systems, paint appliance doors, pull out stumps, trim up trees, leveling road, power wash men's and women's shower, guide campers to site, empty trash, and storm clean-up.
Pam has always served in positions where she assisted customers with questions, needs and solved potential issues. Her duties included answering questions and research problems for mutual resolution. Pam has helped conduct school group tours, as well as tours for foreign dignitaries. Using the computer, she regularly looked up information using internet and databases. Working for a HVAC Contractor for ten-years and local police department for four-years, Pam dealt with customers in selecting and paying for merchandise and citations. She operated the cash register, electric and non-electric credit card machines, inventoried and stocked supplies,and handled money. In one position, she helped maintain facilities including restrooms, lawn and flower gardens. While working at a hotel Pam shuttled visitors to and from airports as well as used her Uber experience by providing transportation to local restaurants, venues and other points of interest.
As a workamper Pam has delivered wood to sites and collect money, power wash showers, trim up trees, answer phones, taken reservations,ran credit cards, guide to sites, empty trash, clean cabins as
well as park models, paint site placards, stain decks, purchase shrubs, determine placement, and plant. Pam's preference is to work alongside Gary as they make a great team.
● Carpentry - woodworking, installing walls, make making general home repairs
● Plumbing - installing toilet, faucets, run CPVC/PVC pipes, making general repairs
● Electrical - install lights, fans, repair cords, adapt electrical outlets ● Painting - prep, prime and apply latex and enamel paints both indoors and outdoors, apply stain to seasoned wood
● Landscaping - plant grass, trees, shrubs, yard maintenance -- weed trimming and mowing
● Maintenance - cleaning buildings and restrooms, power washing
● People - deal with co-workers, managers, and customers
● Customer service - in person, and phone interactions, handle written correspondence, and can use two-way radios
● Registration - registered campers, people attending events, and bicycles
● Sales - assisted customers with selections, completing transactions via credit card or cash, justifying cash register
● Inventory - conducted regular inventory counts and restocked items as needed,including pricing of items
● Maintenance - cleaning of cabins, restrooms, offices, assisted with yard and flower bed maintenance, painting and staining.
Gary and Pam have a 2003 Titanium by Glendale fifth wheel and pull it with a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, HD Duramax Diesel. Both are maintained by Gary. They travel with their Springer Spaniel, Wilson, who is friendly, spaded and well behaved.
Pam was a Cub Scout leader for four-years and two-years as a camp director for a summer camp. Gary served his country in the United States Marine Corps., his title was a tank destroyer. Gary retired in 2015.

Clean sites, fire pits, pick up trash, clean two restrooms including showers and special projects and minor repairs. Working in ranger office answer phones, creating day use admission tags, cleaning, stocking product, selling product from gift store, greeting public, answer questions about the state park, checking in campers, and selling wood from campsite.
