Curtis: Outside machinist, security, groundskeeper, small & large engine repair, painting, cleaning, tractor & mower operator, marina & boat experience. Strong communications background, fluency in Spanish.
Debbie: Groundskeeper, museum docent, computers, gift store operator, cleaning, educator, special event coordinator, newsletter editor, boat experience.
July 2015-July 2017: Camp host San Diego Parks & Recreation Dept. Curt worked with light & heavy machinery, maintaining 112acre day use park. Deborah maintained the gardens, performs docent tours in 1850's museum, assists park attendants at special event and wedding venue, works in gift store and gives information to park visitors.
July 2017-Sept 2017 Park Host Gualala River Redwood Campground, Gualala, CA. Curt did maintenance with a team for over 200 campsites and Debbie ran the busy store.
Sept 2017-July 2018 Camp Host and Cook at KM Resorts Sequim Washington. Debbie worked in the office and Curt did maintenance. As we are both retired chefs, we cooked on weekends
serving Friday night dinners and Sunday brunch. We facilitated potlucks on Saturday nights.
July 2018 – November 2018 We cooked at the Elks Lodge in Sequim WA
November 2018 – May 2020 We were caretakers of large home on Dungeness Spit in Washington performing maintenance of grounds, cleaning the home, and stocking the home with food and beverage for returning owner and his guests.
May 2020 – present Camp Host with the Florida State Parks; Rainbow Springs in Dunnellon and presently with Koreshan State Park in Estero, Fl. We go back to Rainbow Springs Park until April 1, 2021.
Curt has twenty years’ experience as a property manager on client's condos, and as captain, engineer, and personal assistant on mega-yachts, handling all day-to-day operations required to keep multiple land and sea properties functional for a high-end clientele around the world. Curtis has over 7 years in the Coast Guard and over 15 years working as an outside machinist, electrician, and plumber's assistant in San Diego. He is qualified to assist, if necessary, in the maintenance of NFS facilities and holds an in-depth knowledge of heating and ventilation systems, air conditioning, lighting, and light carpentry. He is a detailed painter, having refurbished many Mega-yachts for a distinguished clientele over the past 20 years.
2007-present Debbie is an online adjunct hospitality professor, consultant, and trainer.
Debbie has twenty years’ experience as a CEO, owner/operator and personal chef of mega-yachts, special event & catering companies. Debbie sold her highly success farm to table catering company and moved into the world of consulting and academia. Debbie is the founder of School for the Service Arts, a waiter training company that raises standards of hospitality around the world through classroom workshops, on-line learning, and certification. She creates curriculum, assists with internships and job placement, and facilitates online learning for hospitality professionals.
