Writing Resumes

(Part-time RVer Joanne Dufault)

I am professionally trained in writing resumes. I am a part-time RVer. My husband and I love to travel throughout North America whenever we have the opportunity, and hope to be full-time RVers sometime within the next few years.

A resume is the most important first step for anyone who is searching for a new job, looking to improve their work experience, would like to change careers, or hopes to get a promotion. Employers are very busy and most tend to skim through the loads of resumes that they receive whenever they post information on a new job opportunity with their business. This includes employers that are looking for people to work at their campsites, caretakers, volunteers, or any type of work. It is just as important for RVers to have a well-written, up-to-date resume as anyone else, in order to stand out from the competition.

• If your resume does not "stand out," it will be tossed.
• If there is even one spelling or grammar error, it will be tossed.
• If it is not well-written, it will be tossed.
• If it does not cover all of the employer's requirements for the job, it will be tossed.

A well-written resume gets results.

Your resume needs to convince the potential employer that you are the right person for the job. It needs to get you to the interview stage. It needs to say all the right things, at the right time.

There are many different types of resumes and it is important to understand the best type of resume for each person, his/her work, and life experiences.

Resumes that command attention get results.

This is where I can help.

Each resume that I write is personalized to suit my client and his work requirements. In a nutshell, it is one-on-one service. He is guaranteed a resume that suits his skills and experiences; I do not produce generic resumes.

Once I have gathered all the information that I need to create or update a resume, I am usually able to have it complete and sent emailed back within 72 hours. The cost for a new resume that I create from scratch is $100.00 to $145.00. The cost for updating a resume is $75.00 to $100.00. The cost to review a resume and provide advice is $50.00 to $75.00.
