A concierge at a Hotel, Resort, or RV Park
Qualifications
I have spent over 19 years in the restaurant. Starting in 1970 as a bartender, then moving to server in 1974 for Stuart Anderson’s Black Angus Restaurant’s. This was in the greater Seattle ,Washington area. In 1976 I moved to Louisville, Ky to manage a restaurant call Western Sizzler Restaurant. I worked at two fine dinning restaurants one was The Old House Restaurant The other Louisville Supper Club. I was then offered a management position with Sizzler Family Steak House. There I learned in detail, food cost, labor cost, and how I was as a manager. Which I believe to be a above average. My last restaurant in Seattle was at the Ruth’s Chris Steak House. I am at present at the Parry Lodge in Kanab, Utah as the main night server.
As A concierge I have worked for the Washington State Parks dept from April of 2007 until February of 2008. I was the Oregon Dunes KOA Campground Concierge from March 2008 until September 2008. During that time I was taught the KOA reservation system. I escorted people to there sight, explained the rules of the park and the dunes. If someone needed help with hookup or most any problem with there rig, I could help or I would find someone who new the answer. I truly enjoyed my job and hope that at some point I am able to do the same for another park

As I may be older than some but not as old as others, I have learned that with out the help of those around you, you may have to do it all, and then sometimes you have nothing left because you can not do it all, all the time. Respect is something earned, not assumed by ones self.
