Work Wanted Resume: Rick and Jeannie Miller
by Jeannie Miller
(Wimberley, TX)
We are a very nice couple, hailing from Wimberley, TX but both raised in different parts of the country. Rick is a native Missourian and was raised in Colorado and I was raised in W. Michigan, just off the Big Lake.
Both of us seem to have wander-lust and have traveled to and lived in Colorado, Indiana, Michigan during our marriage. We have now made the decision to become full-time workcampers, which was a natural decision for us.
Rick is a very long-time carpenter with great handyman capabilities too. He can fix just about anything and if he can't fix it, he can find someone that can! He is 58 and in good health, a non-drinker, non-drug user and smokes a pipe.
Jeannie has office experience in several fields of employment, including the dental field, medical field and the real estate field. She also has worked at a quaint inn in Nashville, IN at the front desk (using reservation software) and at Yellowstone National Park.
Both of us are people persons, love meeting new people and especially like campers. They are a special breed of people!
We have an Award Classic 30 foot TT and a Land Cruiser tow vehicle. Both are in excellent physican and mechanical condition (no photos available at this posting).
Now, we do have pets. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats. We can guarantee that you have never met such nice animals. Non-barkers (well, unless they feel threatened), non-runners (kept leashed or contained) and mixed breeds...no dangerous breeds. One is 12 years old and sleeps most of the time, one is 4 years old and mid-sized (American Eskimo mix) and one is a Shiht zu mix and tiny. All love other animals and are people friends. The cats are 12 years old too, and housepets. Very mellow! We have never had issues with our pets and we did live on a YMCA Camp with 3 of them for two seasons.
That said, give us a try. You'll like us. We need paying jobs with hubby working up to 40 hours per week and me 20-25. I need indoor work and Rick loves being outside and would not do well in an office. We are the perfect combination for most RV Parks.
No Snobby Parks or Elite Resorts, please. We are more drawn to the smaller, family friendly RV Parks or to small, comfortable adult (over 55) parks too. We also love the wilderness. Also, we are looking for park owners/mmanagers that treat the staff well and are not grumpy! We are too old to deal with that. We are in our 50's and 60's.
We will be available sometime in July or by August 1 for sure. A bit late for this season, but we could finish out someone elses contract if necessary. Otherwise, we are seeking Winter work. Hope to hear from you soon!
