We are currently workampers working in a city campground in Branson, MO. We are seeking volunteer positions at any campground, (private, County, Federal, or State)for the spring of 2012. Our winter workamping job at Harris Village, Ormond Beach will end in March. We will then be available for a spring position after April 1, 2012. Michael, 67, is a retired Firefighter with Emergency Medical training. His wife Christine is 64 and a retired administrator. If you are looking for a couple with great people skills, a can do attitude, and a willingness to help others than we are that couple. After moving to Florida in 1973, Mike saw the opportunity to become a professional firefighter EMT. On Michael's days off from the firehouse he worked part-time in the building maintenance field. After retiring from the city of Largo, he used his CDL license and driving experience to work for a bus transportation company and a privite school. As a public employee, Michael was always helpful, courteous, and dependable. With his friendly and outgoing personality he enjoys being with people of all ages. Christine worked 25 years as an administrator in the Diocese of St. Petersburg, FL. She was responsible for developing and implementing programs involving 800+ children and 60 adult volunteers. Christine is very efficient, organized, responsible, people orientated, and dependable. Her responsibilities involved public speaking, handling and resolving complaints, telephone and computer skills, and training volunteers. During their years of employment, while raising a family, they enjoyed boating. They were members of several boating clubs and belonged to the U.S. Power Squadron in Clearwater. Michael was an active member and taught boating classes to new boaters. After selling their 40' trawler, they purchased a 40' 2005 American Tradition motor home. Let me close with this: Cris, has experience in an office/store with the Campground Master Reservation system, customer service, housekeeping, etc. Mike mows property, helps maintain the buildings, escorts customers to their sites, and assists customers in setting up. They both like learning new things, helping others, and contributing something of themselves to the task given. They always look forward to new experiences.
