Work Wanted Resume: Ken and Jen Burris

by Ken Burris
(Traveling by Trike)

In the News

In the News

We are two cyclists traveling the United States on TerraTrikes, tadpole recumbent tricycles. We are raising awareness for organ donation in memory of Jen's daughter Alex who was killed in 2000. We are looking for a situation that would supply shelter and work for the winter. I am a retired Therapist from the VAMC. I have experience in construction, gardening, computers, WIFI, and grounds keeping among a myriad of other experience.

We will be hitting the California Coast around Sept/Oct and are planning to stop our tour for the Winter, and will likely resume it the following Spring. We are flexible concerning end dates.

I am 50 and my wife is 41. My last job was as a therapist for the VAMC in Mental Health where I worked for 15 years. My wife has a number of talents as well, especially with animals. She has been employed in the past as a certified Vet Tech but no longer holds that certification and she has worked as an kennel tech/trainer as well. She is an excellent photographer and writer and plans to work on her book during our winter reprieve. A former telecom engineer Jen can do just about anything she puts her mind to and together we accomplish great things.

If you would like to really get to know about us, go to our blog and Website to find the whole story:

We have quite a story which you will see when you read the blogs. My wife met the boy that received her daughter's heart in Colorado Springs just two weeks ago, and we estimate we have gotten 50+ people to sign up to be donors since leaving our home state of North Carolina last March.

or you may call us at 210-383-1432

Thanks for your consideration, Ken and Jen
