Hello, We are the Gano's - Dennis & Mattie, from Tomahawk, WI. We are 56 and 58 years old, respectively. We have been married 33 years, have raised 4 children and have 7 grandchildren. We are a non-smoking, hard-working, fun-loving couple in good health with a great sense of humor.
We like to interact with people and would like to contribute to an organization through our life experiences and skills while maintaining a full-time RV lifestyle. We are both self-disciplined and motivated, with a positive outlook and excellent communication skills. We are both team players who can work well with others as well as by ourselves. We are willing to learn anything required in any job setting. We are both retired, but neither of us is ready to sit on the porch. We have been full-time Workampers since April, 2006.
RV & PET INFORMATION: 2005 Jayco 37' 5th wheel pulled by a 2005 Dodge 3500. Two small, quiet, well-trained dogs.
WORK HISTORY:
DENNIS - retired from 20-year Army career as a Master Sergeant (E-8). He worked with nuclear missiles early, then as a Project Manager in the Pentagon and Army Personnel Center, concluding as a Nuclear Weapons Disarmament Inspector with the Department of Defense, monitoring treaty compliance with the Soviet Union. After retirement, he initiated his own residential construction business. As a GENERAL CONTRACTOR, he was responsible for all aspects of construction, to include customer relations, estimating, procurement of supplies and material, sub-contracting, billing, payment, as well as the actual process of building, where he worked as a rough and finish carpenter.
MATTIE - Prior to retirement, OWNER/MANAGER of a retail thrift shop/furniture and household items shop. She was responsible for all aspects of retail management, including sales, procurement, customer relations, estimating, billing and payment. She has also managed retail stores/gift shops in various malls, including managing the gift shop at the George Washington estate of Mt. Vernon. She has also managed and waitressed at several restaurants.

SKILLS: We both have experience in cleaning cabins, restrooms, laundry facilities, recreation rooms, as well as organizing canoe, kayak, and tubing trips on a recreational river. We both have experience handling and caring for domestic and farm animals. We are both moderately computer literate.
DENNIS - hands-on experience with construction, grounds & buildings maintenance & upkeep, small and industrial size mowers, as well as good knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing systems, and type 50-60 wpm. Moderately fluent German speaker.
MATTIE - Office experience with/without computer registration, store management & stocking, as well as the people and management skills gained from her retail experience.
INTERESTS: Long hikes, kayaking, reading and fishing. Mattie is an accomplished artist, and Dennis loves to play music, having played guitar, banjo, harmonica and vocals with several country bands. Now learning mountain dulcimer.
AVAILABILITY: We are seeking a winter job, preferably away from large cities. We would be available from Oct 1st 2013. We are flexible in our start and finish dates.
