Dennis & Linda want 2010 SUMMER WORK in a COOL place! Hi, We are Dennis (age 67) and Linda (age 65), a retired couple seeking employment between May and October, 2010 for 4 to 6 months in exchange for a full hookup camp site with the availability of additional hours with monetary compensation. Phoebe is our small mixed terrier...she is nearly 11 years old and has traveled with us for 10 of those 11 years! She loves people and is a well-behaved house dog.

We are an honest, trustworthy, conscientious married couple (47 years), having worked together as a team for many years. We have 11 years of experience working in the camping environment as we managed different state parks in Vermont. Duties ranged from managing other staff members to all phases of normal park operation and maintenance from site cleaning, bathroom cleaning, mowing, painting, park beautification projects, office managing, collection of all monies and the making of all reservations. Most important of all was our ability to greet and have the right attitude with the thousands of visitors that we were blessed with each year. We are not really looking for a management position at this time, but would love to work along with others at your park.

We drive a 2006 Chevy Truck and pull a 2003 25' Flagstaff travel trailer. Our preference in work location would be the mountainous areas of East TN, North GA, Western North Carolina and possibly KY or WV. However, if conditions were right, we would consider traveling a greater distance from our central Florida home. Both work references as well as personal references will gladly be furnished upon request. We just finished a 4-month season working in the Black Hills of South Dakota overseeing a 100+ slip marina and operating a small store. It was a GREAT summer...but over 2,000 each way!
