Duties: My primary purpose was to review process and issue applications and request for vehicle registration: privately owned weapons registration. I ensured applications and supporting documents are complete, valid, and comply with applicable regulations and determines eligibility of the applicant. I issued appropriate decals. I provided advice and assistance to retired and active duty military personnel, civilians and contract employees, vendors and other persons inquiring about the regulations and requirements on these various programs. I maintained accurate account of vehicle registration decals issued and on-hand and place timely orders for replenishing the supply. I ensured the decals are secured against loss or theft according to regulations. I ensured out-processing personnel are de-registered by removing their information from the database, and collecting and verifying decal residue once removed from the vehicle. I maintained separate computerized databases, VRS, for the vehicle registration and privately owned weapons registration and bicycle. I entered and verified accuracy of data and updates data as changes occur. I generated reports as required, for example regarding the number of customers serviced and work load of the section. I retrieved data for law enforcement personnel.

Duties: Schedule and perform fire safety inspections of buildings on the Norfolk Naval Base.
Inspections ranged from base housing to high hazard storage buildings, including
aircraft hangars, ordnance storage bunkers, and HAZMAT storage areas. Create reports
of deficiencies for building occupants and perform follow-up inspections to ensure
deficiencies were completed in a timely manner. Inspect and approve areas for hot
