Work Wanted Resume: Anne Rhodes

by Anne Rhodes
(Pigeon Forge, TN)

Work Camper and Motorhome Owner Anne Rhodes

Work Camper and Motorhome Owner Anne Rhodes

Hardworking Versatile Single with a GREAT Attitude! Greetings! I am a 60-year-old woman in good health who wants to enjoy life to the fullest! I am an artist, art teacher, faux painter, muralist, portraitist, mother and grandmother. I can do a variety of jobs, am willing to learn most any. I am not yet retired so I need to earn a living while I workcamp. I would love to support myself with my art in some form, like teaching, face-painting, or drawing portraits, but realize I may have to perform a variety of tasks to live and work from my motorhome. I am quite willing to perform any job that is needed. In fact, I have worked in housekeeping, as a store clerk, and in grounds maintenance, and in security.

My motorhome is a 1989 Fleetwood Bounder class A. Older, yes, but in great condition with just over 14,000 miles on it. I love living in my 'little tin box' as my son calls it. It has everything I need - except for the income I need to survive! I have a true desire to get out and see the world, make new friends, and experience all the great beauty God has provided for us. I am a reliable, trustworthy, non-smoking person and employee. I love animals, but for now just have a beautiful male crowntail betta named Rembrandt. You can contact me by email at vagabondartist@annerhodes.com or cellphone 803 371-7291 803 371-7291. You can see me, my motorhome, and a lot of my artwork at annerhodes.com.

Presently, I am working as a retail clerk in one of the shops in Dollywood, Tennessee. It is a fun job, but I want to be prepared for my next adventure. I will also be working in the office of the campground where I am living.

I worked summer of 2009 at a terrific position at Apache Campground in Myrtle Beach, SC, because I love being near the water. There I worked in the Trading Post, the Campground Store. I made orders, stocked shelves, scooped ice cream, made coffee, rented golf carts and attended customers. Another great experience in the world of workamping! April 2009 thru October 2009.

I worked at the Myrtle Beach KOA from May 2008 to March 2009. What a wonderful, fun experience! Such terrific people! There I cleaned cabins, lodges and parkmodels, bath houses. I worked the grounds and flower beds, attended the Visitor's (security) Center, and even worked some simple maintenance. I am very computer literate, and was learning the registration software.

I spent the 2007-2008 winter on a llama farm in the Georgia mountains. Beautiful country, great people. I tended 18 llamas and various other farm animals; raked and cleaned the fields.

I am a Winthrop University, SC, graduate with a Bachelor's in visual arts. I have worked since I was 12 (babysitting), and have supported myself (with some assistance from a husband for a few years!) for most of my life. I have worked as a graphics designer (25 years), retail, teaching art, and finally went into workamping so I could combine my loves. I love people and the hospitality industry. I believe that I should be able to support myself while enjoying all this world has to offer. As an artist, I want to travel and paint and draw all the beauty I find around me.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you!
