Helllo,

We are in Dubois, WY for the summer 2009 at Wind River/Dubois KOA until late Sept. 2009. We do not have cell phone service in Dubois, WY. So please email us at alleneddie7@gmail.com or mallen828@msn.com. We have Magic Jack which only works if the computer is on. That number is 785-241-6554 with voicemail.

We are looking for a position in Casa Grande, Tucson, Phoenix AZ area to spend the winter near my brother. In the past 45 years we have only been able to see each other about every 4-5 years and would like to spend so quality time together since we both have retired,

We worked at Newport TN KOA for Bert & Gini Bockoven from May-Sept. You may contact them at k644@bellsouth.net or

1-423-623-9004 office or 1-423-237-6483 after hours. Great Bosses.

We worked at Schulenburg Texas at Schulenburg RV Park for Loretta Baumgarten from Dec. 1 til April 25th which ended our scheduled work week. Loretta would like for you to call her or her daughter Holly at 979-7434388 in regard to our references. Loretta prefers talking to prospective employers to receiving emails. Loretta is a great lady and we enjoyed working with her daughter Holly as well.

We are currently at Dubois/ Wind River KOA in Dubois, WY. We are almost 1/2 thru the season and having a great time. We like the area and the people we work for and with. The owners are Rick & Barb Collignon and you may contact them by phone or email. The phone number is: 307-455-2238 fax: 307-455-2291 email: duboiskoa@dteworld.com. We finish here the last part of Sept.

We are Eddie and Mel Allen. Eddie is 67 and Mel is 64 years old. We call Garden City KS home though we both grew up in Oklahoma. We have been married 47 years. We have celebrated our 40th and 45th mile stones of marriage, no guarantee of tomorrow so celebrate while we can. Though we are looking forward to the 50th in 2012.

We have 4 children and 6 grandchilden (who think we have lost our minds) hitting the road and workamping but we are having the time of our lives.

We are non-smokers and non-drinkers.

Do not have a pet and don't plan to acquire one.

We have wheel estate. Since Jully 2007, we have lived in a 2000 Newmar Mountain Aire 35' with 2 slides motorhome. Just before we retired we purchased Jeep Grand Cherokee to tow behind our motorhome. We retired from our jobs the last week of Dec. 2007 and ran away from home Jan. 25, 2008 to start our grand new adventure.

Eddie has been in construction equipment all his life. First as a operator, then mechanic, followed by Store & Service Manager and last as a equipment salesman.

I started working outside the home when our youngest entered Junior High. Unlike Eddie I have not stayed in one particuliar field. I have been a grocery store clerk, a bank customer service rep, Mary Kay rep, oilfield service company receptionist, trucking company secretary-receptionist, trucking company terminal manager, and the last and my favorite; admin. assistant with a plumbing contractor company. I loved the challenge and the interaction with bosses (I had 7), fellow employees, employees of support companies, and the customers. Answered phones, greeted customers, dispatched service calls, input data for service dept. calls for computer printout, tracked service men's work, prepared and called in request for utility locates for digging to Dig Safe Center, typed letters for bosses, typed commerical and residential quotes for estimators, filed and kept track of hard copies of commercial job books & files, maintenance on office machines and replace print cartridges, kept supplies on hand and up to date, updated MSDS books and provided each vehicle with updated material or replace lost MSDS book, the longer I was there the more my job evolved because I prefered being busy to not being busy.

I am currently using KOA Kampsight (second season) and all aspects of registration desk operations and campstore.

At Schulenburg RV Park, Schulenburg, TX everything was done by hand and it took a

Eddie is helps with all phases of campground maintenance, escort campers to sites and setting up, pool cleaning, ice and firewood sales, troubleshooting problems the camper may have, also qualified to fill propane tanks.

We love the outdoors. Walking, riding bikes, fishing, golfing, sightseeing, traveling, boating, camping, bird watching. I like water rafting, Eddie doesn't. I like hiking, he doesn't; I want to try canoeing or kayaking, he doesn't.

We like to read, cook, internet surfing, NCIS, CSI, visiting with other people, history (particuliarly Civil War),

We both were raised on farms in Oklahoma and have a strong work ethic. Eddie is good with repairs and working with his hands. He is very knowledgable with equipment large and small. I am not afraid to try something new.

I am very familiar with office machines. When I worked for Tatro Plumbing Co. I looked after the copiers, fax machines, printers, and supplies. Training someone else on how to take care of the machines was harder than actually doing it. I have a good working knowledge of Microsoft XP, Word, Works, & Excel. I have used Timberline Construction Software for 5 1/2 years. I have worked with Microsoft Publisher and Power Point but would not say I am familiar enough with it to promote myself as such. I have never refused to do anything that was asked of me. If I didn't know how I would say so and add; but I will find out or figure it out. I do not ever want to cease to learn and grow in knowledge and understanding.

We have been very involved in Word of Life Church. We were deacons for 10 years. During the past 16 years we have served in our church as Greeters, Care Ministers, Teachers (Children and Adult Sunday School and Wed. Bible Studies), we both have served on the Boards of the Womens and Men's Group Ministries. Eddie as Vice President of Men with Integrity and Mel as President of Covenant Women.

We both look forward to new places, new people, new friends, new challenges and new experinces. We are out going people with ready smiles, upbeat attitudes and zest for life. We want to enjoy the rest of our lives throughly not just mark off time.

We think of ourselves as fine wine: we get better with age. Mature, full bodied, and great taste. Or perhap an antique: the older we get the greater our value.

We are also listed on KOA Kampworker Site. Mel is trained on the KOA Kampsite Software program.

Thank You for considering our application.

Eddie & Mel Allen
