GA: Windy Valley Llamas Offers a Workamping Adventure for Animal Lovers

GA: Windy Valley Llamas offers a workamper experience. You'll find a rewarding experience getting to know the llamas through hands on work in training and helping us with daily chores on the farm.

Work on a llama farm.

Work with the llamas at Windy Valley Llama Farm

Every year we offer a special workamper program for people who love animals, to experience living and working with our special loving and caring llamas. We raise miniature and standard llamas.

This is an exchange opportunity for couples or single to join our farm family located in the North Georgia mountains. We treat our workampers with the utmost respect, just like a family member.

We are currently looking for workamper couple or single that loves animals and being around them. This is an adventure not a job. All of our workampers have came away from here with a new appreciation of life with llamas and what they have to offer. We will warn you now that you’ll fall in love with the area we live in and the people who make up our small community. Our llamas will find their way into your heart and your life will find a sense of peace that you may have never experienced before.

We ask for a six month commitment. We have an opening for workampers for the spring/summer time period (April through September). The other opening is for the fall/winter time from October through March.

We are looking for the right person(s) that would like to be part of our farm family and its way of life. The position requires working in the barns, helping feed, train, and groom llamas. Also, the ability to handle small repairs as needed and the assistance in pasture care and some gardening.

We offer a complete RV site with full hookup for your recreational vehicle. During the winter months, from Thanksgiving until Easter, we will pay for your propane use. There are laundry facilities for you to use. Along with this, you get the use of our workshop, family game room, and porch areas for your personnel enjoyment. In exchange for this, we ask for 20 hours a week of your time.

Any additional hours we may need from time to time would be for pay.

We enjoy having pot luck dinners and good times together on our screened porch while watching the llamas playing and frolicking.

Our community is a tourist area and has many experiences you might enjoy, such as a scenic railroad (always looking for volunteers to ride the rails with some perks for workers who help), lots of festivals, mountain hiking, excellent motorcycling, and scenic back roads. The Appalachian Trail runs through our county, Atlanta is an hour away, as is Chattanooga, Tennessee. We are two hours from Ashville North Carolina, and there is some of the best white water rafting within 20 to 45 minutes away.

We do require a minimum of six month commitment (longer is also available), along with the ability to follow direction, and dedication to caring for are wonderful llamas.

If you are interested in a new and rewarding work experience, you may have just found your new workamper destination. If you would like to experience a wonderful outdoor life style in an area of great beauty, along with being part of our farm family, please contact us.

Windy Valley Llama Farm is located in Blue Ridge, GA.

Please feel free to call or email us with any questions you may have. For more information about workamping with us at Windy Valley Llamas, call Jerry or Pam at 706-258-2432 or e-mail pam@windyvalleyllamas.com.

Welcome!

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.

We are also thankful for SBI!, the "do-all-the-techy-stuff-for-you" e-business building platform that made creating this RV resource site possible.

If you have questions, we're always happy to help. Simply submit them here....
