Winding River Resort

by Jean
(Grand Lake Colorado)

Winding River Resort is a wonderful family owned and run operation across the road from Rocky Mountain National Park. Just three miles from Grand Lake Colorado, it offers a variety of family activities. Situated along side the Colorado River, it stays cool way into July. This resort has tent camping, W/E sites, and FHU, along with 5 cabins.

Many of the workampers return year after year.

As with any campground, maintenance is always an issue to keep everything running smoothly.

They park all the workampers together at the back of the resort, surrounded by wonderful mountain vistas. Moose walk by our RV on a regular basis! A nice horseback riding operation gives riders a fun activity to participate in.
