I would love to travel the USA taking pictures and grading campgrounds, working from my RV while traveling the USA.

Coleen, the RVing editor replies:

Shelley, have you thought about what you would like to do with your photos, or how you could use them to pay for your living expenses and travels?

Here are some possibilities:

~ Mat and frame them, then sell them at arts and craft shows or via your website
~ Sell them to gift shops or art galleries
~ Turn them into postcards, greeting cards, or calendars
~ Put them on souvenirs or gift items, such as mugs and key chains
~ Work shows, photographing the participants and selling them those pictured
~ Sell them to website or brochure designers who need art work
~ Turn them into clipart that you license
~ Turn them into a video or CD that you sell
~ Wedding photography

We have an article on our website that may help you. Here's the link to it: Photography Business: How to Start a Professional Photographer Business

Of course you could make that work!

I will tell you from our experience as activities directors, one of our most popular activities was taking portraits of pets and their owners. We were only charging enough to cover expenses, but for someone who wanted to make some money at it. . .absolutely. Fabulous for Christmas cards. Remember marketing is just as much a part of your business as the actual service.

I have other photography ideas. My hubby is a semi pro. He just doesn't want to mess with it as a business, so he just does it for friends.

Send me an email. I am more than willing to share!
