Starlite Classic Campground is a unique campground and RV park located in the Royal Gorge Region of Colorado. We have the best whitewater rafting in Colorado, as well as the best fly fishing. There is so very much to do in this area, I think you could come back 20 years in a row and still not discover everything! Summer 2011 workamper singles and/or couples wanted. Vintage (pre 1975) interest a huge plus! We are offering FHU sites in exchange for 24 hours/week per rig. That means, if you’re a couple it’s 12 hours each per week; for a single it’s 24 hours a week. Looking for help with: Store attendant, bathroom cleaning, laundry, ironing, bookkeeping, maintenance, arborist, landscaping, accommodations cleaning, marketing and much more. Our campground was closed (due to foreclosure) for 5 years before we bought it, and we are working very hard to rebuild it on a very tight budget. We welcome workampers who are creative, friendly, dependable, can follow instruction and also have the ability to think for themselves. Starlite Classic Campground is pet friendly, including a dog park (hopefully 2 by next year) as well as kennels for use by guests. You may bring pets, but the same rules will apply to you as to the guests, ie. Stay on leash except in dog park, no excessive barking, etc.. We also have cats, rabbits, etc. so if you have any pet allergies, this probably would not be a good fit. Help may arrive as early as mid April, and will need to move off property (unless other arrangements are made) around mid September.
