RVers Looking for Work: Wally and Julie Gazdzik

Julie Gazdzik
(Full-time RVers in a 40 Foot Motorhome)

Looking for workamper role for winter 2016 in CA, AZ or NV in exchange for full hookup (50 amps).

Available from 1 November 2016 until 1 April 2017 (flexible).

In exchange for FHU, we will work up to 28 hours a week between us. Preference is for us to be working at the same time e.g. both work two 7 hour days and have 5 days off together. However, we would be willing to share a job.

We are retired fulltime Rvers (Wally is 67 and Julie is 53). We have the following workamping experience:

At the moment we are volunteering at Fort Worden State Park in Washington working at the gift shop. This summer we are volunteering at a museum in Alaska. Last summer, we were camp hosts at a private campground in southern Utah. And the winter before that we were working in the activities department at a 55-plus RV park in southern Texas. Julie also worked relief in the front office dealing with customers checking in and dealing with the many issues that come up.

We are both highly IT literate and have good customer service skills. We both have good phone voices - Julie is from England, so still have a strong English accent (think Downton Abbey). Wally is from Chicago. We both have decent typing skills - Wally is actually a touch-typer!

Wally can do outside work such as minor repairs and guiding campers to their campsite.

We are open to most all types of work. However, we have learned that we don't like working in kitchens.

Wally's first career was as a software developer. His second career, which he did for the last 20 years, was that he owned an automotive repair shop and tire store employing around 20 people. As the owner, he did all the accounting work and worked at the front desk, when required.

Prior to retiring, Julie was a management trainer in the UK. She has also done customer service in the IT sector. She is very computer literate, enthusiastic and quick to learn.

We have a 40ft motor home (hence the need for 50 amps) and tow a VW Beetle behind it. We also have a 45 pound mixed breed dog.

If you are interested in us, please e-mail us at jagazdzik@gmail.com. We can also be contacted on 630 397 8580.
