RV Motorhome Salesperson

Trish asks...
(Asking about annual wages.)

How much money does someone who sells RVs for a living make annually?

Coleen, the RVing editor replies:

Hi Trish,

According to simplyhired.com, the average salary for recreational vehicle salesman jobs is $66,000 per year. This is for RVs in general. Since most new motorhomes are more expensive than trailers, it would seem likely the average motorhome salesman would earn more than that.

Please keep in mind that this is an average only. The salaries of RV salesmen vary greatly depending on such things as their experience and expertise. The particular dealership they are working for, the location of the dealership, and the brands sold make a difference, too. The health of the RV industry and the economy in general are going to play a part in how much motorhome sales people make, also.

I've seen other sources saying the salary range for RV sales associates is from $40,000 to $100,000. A quick web search found Help Wanted ads mentioning $50,000 and $70,000.
