Park Hosts Wanted Government Canyon State Natural Area San Antonio, Texas
Government Canyon State Natural Area in San Antonio, TX seeks fun and spirited individuals/couples to spend at least two months park hosting. Government Canyon State Natural Area is 8,624 acres dedicated to the recharge of the Edwards Aquifer. The site has over 35 miles of hiking and biking trails. We are looking for individuals or couples to work 12.5 hours per week per person. The duties that hosts perform here are typical to many other parks, but we try to cater to the special abilities that each host brings to the table. Duties include visitor services, fee collection, monitoring trailheads, and light maintenance and other duties as assigned. Our site is only open to the public on Fri., Sat., Sun., and Mon., and we currently do not offer camping. We currently have openings from now until 2012. Applications always welcome. Job title: Campground Host. Status: Part-time (average 20 hrs/week). Location: Marengo, IL. Salary: $8.50 per hour, plus housing. Job overview: The McHenry County Conservation District is seeking a Campground Host for the 2009 season to provide on site services to campground site users and to encourage compliance with park rules and regulations. Campground is open from May 1 - October 31. Hosts must be able to work during this period, including holidays and weekends. District may be flexible on start and end dates. Responsibilities of this job: Become knowledgeable of the site and other District facilities and activities. Greet visitors, answer questions, and pass out District information.
