Renfro Valley Entertainment Center in Kentucky's country music capital is more than great county music. Nestled in a lush green valley, you'll find an RV Park, village stores and restaurant.
Renfro Valley Entertainment Center positions are currently filled for this year. Thank you.
You don’t have to be a country music fan to love the music and atmosphere. For music lovers, there's gospel music, country music, and a bluegrass music festival. Add to that the fiddler's festival and Christmas show. Weekly, you'll find the Front Porch Pickin' Show and the original Barn Dance Show. Mixed in are special events, such as the classic car cruise-in, the harvest festival, and a clogging workshop.
The Village has a mix of shops such as the Gristmill country store, bakery, quilt shop, antiques, and gift shops.
Renfro Valley Entertainment Center is seeking two outgoing, friendly, workamper couples. These positions run from April through October. The workamper exchange requires working 20 hours per week, per person. In return, you receive FHU RV site, CATV, WiFi, propane at cost, and a 20% employee discount at the Renfro Valley owned shops and Historic Lodge Restaurant.
If you enjoy fishing, you are welcome to cast a line in the Renfro Creek that runs right thru the campground.
Duties may include all phases RV park, concessions, usher, grounds (which includes taking care of flowerbeds, possibly some weed-eating), trash pickup, parking, and cleaning restrooms. You may be asked to help in these areas only some of the time, but this pretty much covers the duties you can expect.
Workamper days on are Wednesday through Saturday. Days off are Sunday, Monday, and possibly Tuesday (depending on how many hours you wish to work).
More hours are possible for minimum wage and other perks. If you are interested in working more than 20 hours a week, we are willing to pay minimum wage for ten more hours per person, per week.
If you would like to attend our shows, festivals, and special events free of charge, we will trade ten extra hours per week, per person, for free admission to all our events. As long as seats are available, this would also include free admission to our headliner concerts, with country music legends like George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Gene Watson, Merle Haggard, and Charley Pride. You can check our show schedule on the website for a complete listing of artists. Depending on the artist, tickets to the headliner concerts run from $25 to $50 each. The Renfro Valley show tickets average $12 to $20 each. If you attended every show for the week, the value would be over $150.00 a person ($15/hour for your time worked for those extra 10 hours each per week).
Renfro Valley is located just minutes off I-75 at Exit 62. It is 120 miles north of Knoxville, TN and 50 miles south of Lexington, KY. It is truly one of Kentucky’s most beautiful areas and some say one of Kentucky's best kept secrets.
