On the Beach RV Park
On the Beach RV Park has office and landscaping/maintenance positions available in late March. We are 30 to 40 minutes to either side of Corpus Christi, with the activities it provides. From your RV, you can enjoy the twenty plus miles of sandy beach and the Gulf of Mexico right at the perimeter of our friendly 60 site park. You'll hear the surf at night and see the Gulf from the park. This area, at times, seems to have its own clock. Port Aransas still has the feel of a small fishing village and is a destination resort area for beach goers, birders, fishing, kayaking, wind surfing, surfing, scuba, cycling, and hunting enthusiasts. The Newport Dunes, an Arnold Palmer Signature Golf course, is just three blocks away and within a half mile of the new community theater. You can reach us on a free ferry or over the causeway highway. You’ll be 2 blocks to a Circle K, half mile to the new community arts theater, two miles to IGA or Yelm Activities Center, three miles to the marina, seven miles to HEB, and ten miles to Wal-Mart. You'll be thirty-five to forty minutes to any part of Corpus Christi. A trolley stops at the park hourly, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for a trip around Port Aransas. One day notice, and the bus will stop by and take you to Corpus Christi. Also there are day trips to San Antonio and Mexico from the IGA store. It is peaceful here but getting here isn't difficult. Work a total of 16 hours per week for your site and to cover a FHU, electricity, propane, Cable-TV, Wi-Fi, laundry, and store discounts. Additional hours paid @ $8.50/hour are available. Generally most of our hosts prefer six to eight hour days, two or more days a week, and stay approximately 6 months. Additional hours are available; I’ve rarely see the bottom of the famous to do list. Thought you might enjoy seeing the monthly weather summary. It is much more comfortable climate than what I expect when thinking of Texas. In the last 20 years the record high was Sept. 5, 2000, was 101.4 degrees. We use Campground Reservation Software and have a good variety of RV supplies in the office. Our atmosphere is relaxed and our activities are inclusive and daily by January. There is a core group that participate in almost everything including beach clean-up, Spanish class, all types of crafts, music, cook outs, pot lucks, wine and cheese tasting, bingo, dominoes, etc. Summer it is all outside, with fewer organized activities, however the park is full of people making memories. They are just plain happy to be here. It is really an enjoyable community. Our desire is to be the nicest place a person could stay because of our hosts and guests. One of our winter Texans said, "I had so much fun this winter, it flew by. The last months I was counting the days I had left. I still want to stay only we have to go home. I'll be counting my days until we can come back. We are going to do quilting when I get back. It has been the best winter ever." She is with us this winter, too, and she helps make this a better place. Every year we try to make a noticeable improvement to the park so our guests can see our park improve year after year.
