MI: Clementz's Northcountry Campground & Cabins Offers RV Site Exchange for Work

MI: Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins, is looking for a summer season work camper. Do you love the great outdoors? Do you want to be away from it all, but yet still be in civilization?

Put yourselves in our place! We need a summer work camper at our campground and cabins at Newberry, Michigan.

We would like someone to start by May 20, and plan on staying till mid September or possibly a bit longer. We close mid-October.

Our work camper will receive a water and electric site with free cable TV hook up and wifi. All of our sites are pull through so while it might be unhandy to have to go to the dump station, it shouldn't be a difficult task. You should easily get in and out of your spacious site.

In exchange, we will require 12-20 hours work per week. There may be weeks that you have more hours than 20 and there may be weeks where you might have less than 12 hours. The hours we require in exchange for the site are based on one person. If there are two of you on the campsite, then there could be times where we may require additional hours per week to assist with cleaning cabins, or other simpler duties.

Duties will require a strong, physically fit person who is capable of assisting with the mowing (both riding and push mowing), weed whacking, possibly cutting wood, and the owner may occasionally need assistance with plumbing issues or painting to be done. You occasionally may be required to be on a ladder. We hope to build new picnic tables starting sometime in late May to June and would need assistance with that.

We are 4 1/2 miles north of Newberry, Michigan. There are two grocery stores, several gas stations, churches, lots of restaurants, a walk in clinic, and a hospital in Newberry.

Our unique location puts us in the center of all the things to see and do on the eastern end of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We are 20 minutes from Tahquamenon Falls, 40 minutes from the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, and about 80 minutes from Sault Ste. Marie. There is lots of fishing in the area.

Visit our website at www.northcountrycampground.com to see who we are and where we are.

You may contact us by email at northcountrycampground@gmail.com. Please feel free to send your resume and photos of you and your RV. Please put the subject matter as "application for work camping 2012."

We will be out of the office from around October 18 until late April, but we will be checking emails.

Since the need for a work camper arises from a health issue on our end, we hope to receive only serious inquiries and a commitment of at least till mid September.

Thanks!

Welcome!

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.

We are also thankful for SBI!, the "do-all-the-techy-stuff-for-you" e-business building platform that made creating this RV resource site possible.

If you have questions, we're always happy to help. Simply submit them here....
