NH: Explore Fall Colors of New England
Saint Gaudens National Historic Site, Cornish, New Hampshire
(Volunteer with the National Park Service in NH)
NH: Saint Gaudens National Historic Site, Cornish, New Hampshire. Volunteers with an RV are especially needed August through October 2017, in our small but beautiful site located along the Connecticut River and near Dartmouth College. An RV pad is located adjacent to the park.
Augustus Saint-Gaudens was America's foremost sculptor in the late 1800's, sculpting many Civil War monuments and designing our $10 and $20 gold pieces used until 1933. Tours are given of the art work, his home, Aspet. Sunday afternoons feature concerts in July and August, and in September, there is the Sculptural Visions event where various sculptors demonstrate in different mediums. Some fee collection and Eastern National bookstore duties are required. Great opportunity for volunteers with an RV.
Needed are 32 hours per week, per volunteer.
Background checks are required and fees will be covered by the park.
Open from Memorial Day Weekend until October 31st. It's preferable that you commit to three months, either at the earlier start or latter end of the season but subject to discussion.
