Mount Desert Island Campground

Mount Desert Island Campground, Maine, is near Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The Craigheads, owners for years, are wonderful people to work for.

The campground is on the Sound and is very quiet. It has many repeat customers of many years.



The campground hosts mostly tents and pop-ups. They advertise "no trailers over 20'."

Our trailer was 37' and we had no trouble with size. We had a beautiful site that would accommodate larger trailers than ours. Sites were 15 or 20 amp. They use a Blue Boy toter to dump, using campground golf cart to tow the toter.

We were paid for all hours worked. That was approximately thirty each person. It was mostly cleaning sites and bathrooms.

We had nothing but a very positive experience at Mount Desert Island Campground.
