Looking for Work

(Angela Risher asks...)

We are looking for work. How do my spouse and I get hooked up with a job? You can contact me at my email address xxxxxxxxxxxxx@zzzzzzzz.com. Thanks, Angie

Coleen, the working while RVing editor comments:

Hi Angie,

Take time to read this website. There are over 900 pages. Don't just skim the list of link buttons on the side. Actually go to those sections and read the pages. It will takes you weeks to get that done, but you will have a lot of practical information about all sorts of real jobs that real RVers are doing.

A good place to start is with the Working RV Basics: Getting Started and Keeping On section.

The website is a mix of articles that I have written, information sent to us by companies that hire RVers, organizations that use RVing volunteers, and other working RVers. Depending on your skills, experience, and education, as well as your willingness and RV travel style, some of the pages will be relevant for you and some won't. But, there is such a variety, that if you take time to study what is here, you will find the answers you need to get hooked up to a job.

Additionally, sign up for our newsletter. It is free. We email it to subscribers, usually every weekend. To subscribe, click here, put your email address in the form so that we know where to send it, and hit the Subscribe button you'll see there.

On that page, there is also a link to back issues. Again, take time to read them.

I want to compliment you on something. When you asked your question, you included your email address (I changed it before publishing it, so that you wouldn't get spammed). That is one super important thing that many RVers who are looking for work forget to do!
