Joe Wheeler State Park & Resort
We are fulltimers who discovered the Joe Wheeler State Park & Resort Campground in Rogersville, Alabama, last year. David Barr is the ranger in charge of the 102 site campground located on Wheeler Lake among Loblolly pines. Volunteers in Parks (VIP) is a state wide program that requires 24-36 hours per week for your site (H2O, elec., & sewer). Unfortunately, we are heading west, so we will not be able to return soon. The park is located in northwest Alabama. WiFi is available at the lodge lobby, dinning room, and convention center.
