Cheating the Camp Worker

by Ann
(Pa.)

What can be done about the campground owners changing the hours and pay when you arrive for the job? Also, not paying you for the work done.

We showed up for a job in Pennsylvania. My husband was to work 20 hours, nothing required of me. Then after getting there, I am told I also needed to put in 20 hours before either of us would get paid.

We also worked at an inn in Florida, which did not pay us for the two months we worked. They even added hours more then originally required.

Labor Board
by: Coleen, the RVing Editor

If you worked and didn't get paid according to your contract, I would think you would contact the local labor board. If you check the official state website for whatever states you worked in, you should find links to the Department of Labor, or some similar department.
