Campground Management School

(Gregg T. asks...)

Do you know if the National School of RV Park & Campground Management is the best school campground management school? Have you heard reviews from people that have taken the two 50 hour courses? Do you know of any schools in Canada or online courses?

Any info would be appreciated. I am considering taking a course like this as I would like to change careers in the next few years.

Coleen, the working while RVing editor comments:

Gregg,

Have you looked at the resources listed on the National Associate of RV Parks and Campgrounds' (ARVC) education page? That may give you some good ideas.

I don't really hear much about campground management schools.

It seems many campground managers are (or were) RVers who started working at campgrounds in other positions. With experience, they worked their way up to be managers.

I'll do some checking and post your question on the website. I know the wife of one of our readers has a degree in park management or something similar. I'm pretty sure he will have some comments to share.
