Best Products to Sell on the Road?

by Blondie Jones

We are so interested in becoming "workampreneuers," but we don't know which products would be best to sell on the road from our motorhome. We are looking for something with broad appeal, good return on investment, non-food, and something easy to transport and set up. Any ideas on which are best? Thanks so much!

Coleen, the working while RVing editor comments:

Oh, I certainly do! Natural and time tested products.

~ Choose to work with a company that has been around a long time. One that is stable and strong. And, trusted.

~ Sell consumables that people will use up. And that they will want to buy from you again and again. Look for products that people use every day.

~ Look for products that are in tune with modern trends. Right now, that is "green" or all natural products.

~ Find products that you can profitably sell at a price that is competitive with other products of the same quality. Or, that you can sell for less than not-as-good products.

~ Partner with a company that will let your customers order directly by phone, mail, or through the corporate website. And, one where the partner company will drop-ship the orders for you and send you a commission check.

~ Pick products that you can sell at a variety of venues and via different sales methods. Perhaps diverse events as farmer's markets, holiday bazaars, county fairs, and home and garden shows. Or, that you could sell at a party or a workshop seminar. And, that you can sell directly to individual customers without needing to set up a booth.

~ Make sure your supplier will send you your inventory where you need it. You may need to have it sent to a different address each time, depending on your travels.

I suggest you look at Watkins products. Click here to learn more about them.
