= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Update From Your Work For RVers and Campers Newsletter Editor I hope your new year has gotten off to a terrific start! Our year started out cold – as in 30 some degrees below zero. So, why are we here? Sometimes I think about our winters in south Texas and Arizona and wonder that myself. And then, I step outside and look at the brilliant coral sunset, the trees sparkling with frost, an eagle soaring overhead, and listen – and the only sound I hear is a nearby moose munching alders. That peacefulness is, as they say, priceless. That said, we aren't turning down an offer for some sun and fun in March. Once again, we qualified for the annual Watkins Performance Reward Points Grand Prize. This year, the trip is a Caribbean cruise with stops in Belize City and Cozumel. Let us know what you are doing this winter. Email or use the form on the website. Submit a Short Update, Story, or Working RVer Tip Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity, Coleen = = = = = Current Job Openings for RVers Here's a sampling of the most recently listed job openings.
The freshest ads are on the January Job Listings page. To see ads from the past few weeks, go to the December Job Listings page. For the archives of previously posted job listings, see the monthly job index page. = = = = = Worker Resumes Lots of newly posted worker resumes on the website this past couple weeks. If you are a campground owner or someone looking for workers, take a look to see who is available. If you are looking for a position, look through the worker resumes to see how your fellow RVers are showcasing themselves. It will give you some ideas of how you want to put your own resume together. The form to submit your resume is on the top of the page and the links to the resumes are further down the page. = = = = = New Pages On Work-For-RVers-And-Campers.com Favorite Working RVer Jobs for 2008 What was your favorite job/work/money making activity during 2008? What made it special for you? How did the people you worked for (or with) make a difference? What was it about the whole experience that made it a "joy" instead of a "job"? Post your comments and read what others say on the website. ~ RVers' Favorite Jobs In 2008 = = = = = New Flea Market Guides Are Here The new version of Clark's Flea Market U.S.A. is in. This is the 88th Edition, fresh from the printer a couple weeks ago. Dot Clark, who puts the directory together, put in a lot of time verifying information and updating this edition. The type is also a bit larger, making it easier to read. To help you identify it, this new one (the 88th Edition) has a cartoon picture on the cover. ~ Order Clark's Flea Market Guide = = = = = Ways RVers Make Money Here’s a sampling of work RVers can do to earn a living and pay for their travels. ~ Sell RV Accessories

Your choice of email address could mean the difference between getting the job and not getting it. = = = = = Wise Words from Our Readers Campground Owner's Side of Things ~~ The article I posted last week that listed the commonalities I hear when RVers write about a negative work experience generated a reply from campground owner Todd Miller. He shares his frustrations regarding workampers and ends his email with this comment: In all fairness, you should publish an article on the flip side of employers 10 most common problems with work campers and give these people an insight of running a campground. ~~ I replied that it would be great to have a section on Work-For-RVers-And-Campers.com that gives the campground owner's perspective. So, if you are a park or resort owner/manager, or you hire workampers for another business, I'm asking you to please step up and share your viewpoint. What makes a good or bad staff member? What do you look for when hiring? What can working RVers do to make themselves more valuable to you? = = = = = Positive RVing Attitudes When you hear a kind word spoken about a friend, tell her so. ~ Unknown We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. ~ Albert Einstein = = = = = If you like this e-zine, please do a friend favor and pass it forward.
