Most RVers who are managing Christmas tree sales lots during the next few weeks already have those jobs in place. They undoubtedly started looking for them months ago. However, it is still possible to find a job working in a tree lot or on a tree farm. There are always last minute cancellations, no-shows, and situations that just don't work out right. = = = = = New Pages On Work-For-RVers-And-Campers.com Caretaking With Pets: Animals May Be Welcome, But Don't Assume So Caretaking with pets is possible, but don't take for granted that your animals are included in the caretaker offer. Some ads specify dogs and horses are welcome. An RV can help in other instances. ~ Read the rest of the article on the website. = = = = = Ways RVers Make Money Here’s a sampling of work RVers do to earn a living and pay for their travels. ~ Information clerk at welcome center
= = = = = Your Working While RVing Questions Answered Travel Nursing From Your RV ~~ Lyle asks: Are there any people out there who are traveling nurses out of their RV? I am wanting to get the RV park that I manage out to the travel nurse RVing sector, in that we can accommodate them in their housing, since we are fairly close to all three major hospitals here in the Tyler, TX area. ~~ I answered in part: Some travel nurses do choose to live in their RVs and take their homes with them from assignment to assignment, rather than moving from one apartment or house to another. It's my understanding that the demand for travel nurses exceeds the available workforce. If your local hospitals have a nurse shortage, you might want to contact them. Another option is to contact the temporary staffing agencies that specialize in placing nurses and other medical staff. I believe the staffing firm usually pays for or reimburses the nurses for their housing costs. Readers, if any of you have travel nurse experience, please, jump in here and share your thoughts. ~~ Read the longer version of my answer on the website. = = = = = Working RVer Tip Gift Wrapping Booth You can work craft shows, holiday bazaars, and flea markets this time of year, even if you aren't crafty and haven't already made up a bunch of stuff to sell. Set up a gift wrapping booth. You can also use this idea to piggy-back on vendor fairs, those events where Tupperware, Avon, Watkins, Mary Kay, and other direct sales company reps get together to sell at a combined event. = = = = = Positive RVing Attitudes Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win. ~ Jonathan Kozol Be bold.
