Update From Your Work For RVers and Campers Newsletter Editor

We had our first measurable snow of the season yesterday. We awoke to find a couple inches of pure whiteness blanketing the ground, trees, vehicles, and anything that had been left outside. I love the beauty of it and how it makes everything look so clean.

I've been adding pages to the website. More info on those later in this newsletter.

Our readers have been busy submitting resumes and questions. Take a look through the list of questions. Help out your fellow RVers – and those just looking to get started. And, let your opinions be heard. When you get to the website, you'll see a box where you can enter your own question; the list of questions already asked, and needing answers, is below that box.

Use the Economy to Your Advantage

RV Renovation, Repair, and Improvement

RVers who may have planned to buy new rigs may now be renovating their current ones. They'll most likely be open to hiring other RVers to do work that they cannot do themselves. They'll also hire you to do jobs they don't want to do themselves.

Can you do minor mechanical repairs? Are you a wiz at maintenance? Can you check around vents and windows for leakage and caulk places that need it? Perhaps you can do a thorough wash and wax.

Maybe you can build that computer desk or add the bookshelf they've been wanting. Maybe a stained glass window for the entrance door would spiff it up with a new look? Or, change the look of the RV with a mural painted on the side.

Perhaps what they need is someone to come in and organize their cupboards and closet, giving them more usable space? Can you sew up new curtains? Recover seat cushions or valances? Replace window shades?

Use your particular talents – or your muscle and good back – that another RVer may not have. Both of you come out ahead.

Volunteer Organizations That Are Christian RV Groups

Ministries need folks who are willing to share their skills to work for agencies. The RVer may have skills in constructing buildings such as churches, houses, schools, knowledge of installation of electrical service or plumbing, sewing, cooking, teaching, office work, painting, etc. And if you do not have the skills, the people on the job are willing to teach you. The RVer works in a Christian environment.

Working RVer Tip

When someone suggests a new way to earn money while RVing, don't brush it off as something that isn't right for you. Instead, use the idea as a catalyst to come up with something that does suit you.

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.

We are also thankful for SBI!, the "do-all-the-techy-stuff-for-you" e-business building platform that made creating this RV resource site possible.
