Labor Day weekend signals the changing of the seasons – and of jobs – for many working RVers. We hope you've had a great summer!

RVers wonder why employers don't respond when they send in a resume. Business owners and managers wonder why RVers don't reply when they contact them about a job opening. One possibility is that the contact information isn't working – make sure you use the correct email address or phone number. However, I'd take the lack of a response to mean the other party is not interested.

Want to make yourself stand out as an employee/employer for next time? Take a few minutes and respond to those who reply to your ad.

~~ I answered in part: I've heard good things about Labor Finders, Kelly Services, and ManPower Inc.

Bob worked for a landscaping contractor in southern Alabama who hired through Labor Finders. Employees registered and filled out the required paperwork. After that, it was a matter of showing up on the days you wanted to work.

Consider All Jobs: Those At Campgrounds and Those That Aren't

~~ Ray writes: We have worked at several campgrounds (workamper jobs) over the years but have found that many times you are further ahead to rent a site in a campground and get a job elsewhere. Jobs, especially in tourist areas, are very easy to find and I believe that in the long run many times you are better off.

Now's a good time to rake in a few extra dollars doing end of the season jobs. When students go back to school, they leave employers scrambling to fill their shifts for the next few days or weeks. It's an excellent opportunity for RVers to step in.
