Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

A steady stream of fishing boats keeps coming and going. A sea otter is feasting on his fresh crab lunch. The statuesque eagle on the light post occasionally twitches, letting me know that he is, in fact, alive and aware. I'm writing this issue while looking out into the harbor in Homer, Alaska.

Homer is about 75 miles from our Soldotna, AK home base. We're here this weekend to work and to play. Bob's out halibut fishing. I'm writing. And, doing what many do when they visit Alaska -- admiring the grandeur of the mountains, the activity in Kachemak Bay, and the general beauty of this state. If you've read Tom Bodett's tales, you know this seaside community as the "End of the Road."

We already have new jobs posted this month. Besides checking the March listings, be sure to check February's. Some of those posted in February are from just a few days ago.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Beef Jerky Fans

Bob and I just opened a new online jerky store. We now have 49 kinds of jerky -- organic beef to fruit sticks. We'd appreciate your patronage. The jerky really is delicious. One of my favorites is the Turkey teriyaki. Bob is partial to the beef fajita stixs.

Working RVer Tip

Don't limit your search to only resources that are especially for RVers and campers. If you are looking for paid employment, check the usual places you'd go to for finding a paying job. For volunteering, seek out the typical non-profits that look for volunteers. Having a recreational vehicle may be incidental to the work that is right for you - not a requirement for it.

Working RVer Tip

Word travels fast in a campground. If you are good at something, and charge a reasonable price, your fellow RVers will soon hear about it. Help out a neighbor or the RVers across the way. Do a good job. Chances are he'll do a lot of free advertising for you and before long you will have plenty of jobs.
