Workers On Wheels: Work For RVers and Campers

Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Oilfield gate guard companies are hiring. is hiring. Campgrounds and parks that pay for all hours worked and give you an RV site with hook-ups are hiring. And, of course, there is a need for volunteers and plenty of work-for-site options.

The first Workers On Wheels Newsletter went out 20 years ago! February 1994, we had 8 subscribers. We started the newsletter because people kept asking us, how, at our age, we could afford to travel and not work. We'd explain that we worked as we traveled. Then, they'd ask how we did that, what we did, and if they could do it, too. And, they told us we should write down what we were doing. So, we followed their advice and starting writing about it.

Workers On Wheels was first a paper newsletter, published every two months. Then, it morphed into a 32-page magazine, with an added section about general RVing. Somewhere along we added the Workers On Wheels website. The general RVing section got its own website, too. We are now publishing this e-zine twice a week. There used to be an annual fee for the newsletter. Now, to get your subscription, you only need to sign up with your email address. I've said it before and I'll say it again -- our subscribers are the best!

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

P.S. If you are wondering just how old we were when we started full-time RVing, Bob and I were both 32 years old.

Bakeries and Cake Decorating

The local bakery that we've been going to lately is looking for employees. Currently, they are looking for an early baker and a clerk for the baked goods counter. They need both full-time and part-time workers. I've also seen the local grocery store advertising they need employees for their bakery department.

The article below is mostly about starting your own cake baking and decorating business. However, if you have an interest in working in a bakery, it would be helpful for that, too.
