Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Lots of new jobs postings came in this past week. There are immediate openings in some choice locations. We're also seeing more positions that start next summer. It's a nice mix of employment that pays an hourly wage and volunteer positions.

A year ago, Bob and I adopted an older dog. We weren't sure that we needed a new dog. But, NeeMo needed a new home and family. This Thanksgiving, as we count our blessings, he's right up there on the list of things for which we are grateful. He's a joy to have. He's well behaved. He's a card; we laugh at his antics. If you are thinking of adding a furry friend to your household, you might want to consider a senior dog.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Working RVer Tip

If you are interested in selling Christmas trees, or curious about what the job entails, now is the time to find out. Take time to stop at tree lots and see what's going on. If it is slow, visit with the folks working the lots. Chances are they'll be happy to tell you what they like and what they don't like about the work. They'll also be able to put you in touch with the company they are working with this season. And, if it is busy, they may need an extra hand and may want to put you to work for a couple weeks.

Working RVer Tip

Don't limit your search to only resources that are especially for RVers and campers. If you are looking for paid employment, check the usual places you'd go to for finding a paying job. For volunteering, seek out the typical non-profits that look for volunteers. Having a recreational vehicle may be incidental to the work that is right for you - not a requirement for it.

Positive RVing Attitudes

My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do that? ~ Bob Hope

Probably the reason we all go so haywire at Christmas time with the endless unrestrained and often silly buying of gifts is that we don't quite know how to put our love into words. ~ Harlan Miller
