We're seeing some fun perks offered in job ads these days. A resort in Pigeon Forge (near Dollywood) includes discounts to area attractions. Another campground in the Smokies enters its workers into a drawing to win a cruise.

We've had fireweed fuzz floating through the air so thick the past couple days that it looks like snow. According to folklore, we can expect winter six weeks after the fireweed has bloomed. Let's see, that puts winter here in early October….
