Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Businesses are hiring RVers. SkyMed, GTI, and Southern Cross are all looking for people. A couple of circuses are also hiring, one is looking for a bookkeeper, while the other needs a schoolteacher. And, of course, RV resorts and campgrounds have openings, for paid positions, work-for-sites, and volunteer opportunities. So, lots of choices, with jobs starting now and in the fall.

Bob and I are enjoying beautiful weather in Alaska. This week things really started to get green. Once again, the trees have leaves! We even planted a few peas this week, and with our long days of light, they are already up and growing.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Jobs and Volunteer Positions in Alaska

The Alaska State Parks Volunteer Program still has openings for this summer. Camp host and other positions are located at state park campgrounds, day use areas, boat launches, wildlife management areas, glaciers, and recreation areas. They are located throughout the state. Amenities vary. Some include subsistence pay, expense allowance, propane, or other compensation. While some come with full-hook up RV sites, some are in locations where the host site does not have utilities. You'll find stunning scenery and some first rate wild life viewing. These camp host positions with the Alaska State Parks offer RVers an excellent chance to spend a month or longer in some of the most beautiful parts of Alaska -- including Denali State Park. I have some posted and more to add, so look now, and then check back in a couple days to see additional positions.

Working RVer Tip

If you are looking for work at a particular campground, or in a particular town, or with some other specific criteria, try using the search function on the website. For instance, if you don't yet have your RV, you can search for "housing" and it will bring back a list of postings that offer housing. Or, if you want to work in an area where there's good fishing, do a search for "fishing," and it will show you a list of jobs at fishing resorts and in areas renowned for their fishing.

The "Search" box is near the top of the page.
