Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

What’s important to you when you look for a position? Wages? A volunteer position where you can “give back?” An RV site with full hook-ups to cut your RVing costs? Being able to spend an entire season in a national park, where others only get to stay for a few days? The chance to stay at a fancy RV resort that you could never afford if you had to pay the regular rates? Work that you love? Something else? Drop me an email and let me know what you look for – and why.

Bob spent several days this week digging us out from recent snows. When he wasn’t doing that, he was going through a box of fishing equipment, cleaning and refurbishing rods and reels. All that snow shoveling must have made him yearn for spring!

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Tip for Writing a Good “Help Wanted” Ad

Your ad is a sample of your communication skills. Proofread and correct any spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes. The way you write your ad says more about your communication skills than any words you use to describe them. Rather than telling the employer you have good communications skills, let your classified show them.

Working RVer Tip

There are times you may want to park your RV one place and work another place. If you don’t have a toad (car you are towing) here are some other ways to get to work: Rent a car. Use a bike or mo-ped that you can carry in your RV to use on short trips. Ride share or carpool with other workers. Use a taxi cab or public transportation.
