Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

We're having beautiful spring weather here in Alaska. RV traffic in the area is heavy. Most of the RVers we've talked with are enjoying their time here. Though, many of our visitors are shivering and not used to wearing jackets this time of year.

If you're in our neck of the woods this summer (around Soldotna), drop me an email. Maybe we can get together for coffee and chat for a bit.

For those of you who've been asking for an update on my jaw…. I had a check-up on Friday and it seems things are going well. We're now at the "be patient" stage, giving the marsupialization time to do its thing.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Amazon is Hiring

Amazon is now taking applications for its CamperForce (work camper) program. They have openings at three fulfillment centers locations this year: Campbellsville, KY, Coffeyville, KS, and Fernley, NV. They pay an hourly wage for all hours worked, plus they pay for your RV site and utilities in a campground. We have several articles on our website to give you more info on this, including feedback from other RVers who've worked for Amazon.

~ What you actually do there..

~ From the Amazon recruiter and more.

~ What other RVers say about it..

Reader Feedback

~ John L. writes: A little insight from talking with an RV park manager who has used work campers for many years. Seems they are having problems getting and keeping work campers who actually are willing to work (not even heavy manual labor). Remember these park managers and owners are there to make money and provide products and services to the public, not to cater to the work camper's wants. Please do not take an assignment you do not want and then expect the job to bend to you. These can be fun jobs, but remember it is a job. Thank you.

StoneBridge RV Park: Tina says it's the, "Greatest little RV park in Texas."

~ Tina S. writes: My husband Jim and I have only been RVing full time since October, but we've already stumbled upon a Texas jewel. This is the StoneBridge RV Park in Sweeny, Texas. The park is full of old oak trees and is beautifully laid out. There are 55 sites, all are roomy, and on concrete pads.

Oh, Nuts!

Walnuts, that is. Tom stopped by yesterday with walnuts. Bags and bags of walnuts. He gifted us with a bag. But, he didn't bring them from California to Alaska to hand out as gifts. He brought them up to sell.

And pecans. His visit reminded me of selling pecans in Georgia. While we kept all that we picked for ourselves, others were picking them to sell. It also reminded me of the "We Buy Pecans" signs I've seen while traveling in the southern states.

Whether you buy them from a wholesaler or if you pick them yourself, selling nuts is another way RVers can bring in some cash. Nuts also sell well at flea markets, farmers markets, and at roadside stands.

Positive RVing Attitudes

After every difficulty, ask yourself two question: "What did I do right?" and "What would I do differently?" ~ Brian Tracy

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.

We are also thankful for SBI!, the "do-all-the-techy-stuff-for-you" e-business building platform that made creating this RV resource site possible.
