Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

We walked into Fred Meyer this week, the local grocery store. Sitting right in front of the main entrance was a table with various centerpieces and some flyers. I didn't pay any attention to them because I figured I didn't want whatever it was they were selling. On the way out, one of those flyers caught my eye. Turns out they were job descriptions and instructions for how to apply. There were more than a half dozen different flyers, each with information about a different position. The positions ranged from Parcel Clerk (retrieving carts from the parking lot) to Cake decorator. Regardless of the position, the qualifications included things like a commitment to customer service and the ability to work weekends.

If you are looking for work, keep your eyes open. You never know where you will find job information. And, don't pre-judge what the qualifications will be for a particular job.

On a personal note, I had two more jaw surgeries this past week. I'm doing okay. Bob's taking good care of me.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Caretaking with Pets: Animals May Be Welcome, But Don't Assume So

Caretaking with pets is possible, but don't take for granted that your animals are included in the caretaker offer. An RV can help in instances where the property owner doesn't mind pets on the property, but doesn't want them inside his home. We usually have Help Wanted ads on the website specifying that caretakers are welcome to bring horses. Caretaking with pets can be an advantage. Some property owners recognize that dogs add an additional layer of security. Click here to read the rest of this article.

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.
