Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Jobs, jobs, oh, my, jobs, and more jobs. Help Wanted ads just keep coming and coming. Be sure to go to the website and take a look at all of the job postings. There's everything there from volunteer camp hosting to employment that pays hourly wages and includes an RV site with paid utilities to work that pays on commission.

Each week we receive a few emails from folks who can't get the newsletter links to work. I think the problem is that if the URL to the page is too long the link splits onto two lines. So, what I'm doing this issue is giving you two links to each page. One is the regular link that shows you the full website page address. The other is a shortened link. If one doesn't work, please try the other one.

On a personal note, our thanks and appreciation to those of you who continue to offer prayers and positive thoughts about my jaw issues. My next surgery should be within a week or two. We're expecting it to be a success.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Your Working While RVing Questions Answered

How Work Campers Write Resumes

Is there a specific way to put together a resume for this type of work? Need help with your resume? Resumes for working RVers and workampers need to show the employer what you can do for him. How do you show that? What resume format works best? Let's take a look at what RVers are saying. The few times we've needed a resume, we used a standard resume format. However, while these were jobs we did while full-time RVing, they were not campground jobs.

Working RVer Tip

On your work camper resume, stress your skills and personality traits that benefit the campground owner.

Responding To Resumes of Workamper Applicants

Responding to resumes of workampers -- or any employee applicants -- who aren't contenders for the job, isn't the norm. No response probably means the employer is not interested in hiring you.

This article is in reply to the following comment that I received:

... "I wish that the people who advertise for people to work for them would respond to emails. They give you the email address, and you send in your resume, and you never hear from them. If they are not interested they should tell you." ...

~~ Read the longer version of my answer on the website. Work campers and campground owners, you are welcome to email me your response to this.

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.

We are also thankful for SBI!, the "do-all-the-techy-stuff-for-you" e-business building platform that made creating this RV resource site possible.
