Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Jobs for RVers that pay wages and provide a FHU site and utilities from Washington to Florida, from Minnesota to Texas, and states in between are listed in this issue. For those who prefer to barter, there are some work-for-site positions, too.

Please be sure to tell your RVing friends about our newsletter and our Workers On Wheels website. Let them know that they can go to our website and get all of the job listings free -- there is no subscription fee to pay.

If the links in the email do not work for you, here are two fixes. One is to copy the entire link -- both lines of it, if it carries over to a second line -- and paste it into your browser. The other is to go to our website and read the newsletter there.

Volunteering Saves Money And Yields Many Rewards

We have an entire section on our Workers On Wheels website with articles and info about working as volunteers. Click on the blue links to read the articles and find out more about various non-profit agencies that offer volunteer opportunities for RVers.

Volunteer Work Opportunities For RVers Volunteer opportunities abound for working RVers. Some full-time RVers are full-time volunteers. Some of us need income from our work, so we donate our time, talents, and labors around our paying jobs.

Volunteer Organizations That Are Christian RV Groups Volunteer organizations include RV groups that are ministries. They need folks willing to share their skills helping agencies. The RVer works in a Christian environment doing productive work.

Organizations Your Fellow RVers Recommend Follow the link and then scroll down the page. You'll find info on various organizations that other RVers have told us about, places where they enjoyed their volunteer experience.

Volunteer Opportunities, Agencies, and Experiences RVers, if you have volunteer experience and you'd like to recommend an organization or agency to your fellow work campers, please share. Volunteer coordinators, if you could use work campers, let us know about your group. Use the form to submit your information.

Working RVer Tip

When putting together your work camper resume, emphasize what is relevant to your future employer. While it may go against what you've been taught about resume writing, most campground owners don't care about seeing a list of every job you've had during the past 30 or 40 years. They want to know what skills you have that you can apply to the position they have open. They also want to see something that shows you have the right attitude to work well at their park.

Our employer profile pages are more than your basic, short help wanted ads. They give you information about the business and community, as well as the job and the work duties.

The additional info in these profiles is to help you get a better idea of whether or not the position and the business ambiance is a good match for you, and whether or not you might enjoy your time RVing and working in the particular job location.

Working RVer Tip

If you are applying for a campground job where you will be working around the paying campground guests, make sure your contacts with employers show that you are a happy person. If you have a voice mail message on your phone, record it while you are smiling. If you e-mail an inquiry, make it upbeat. When you write your cover letter, let your fun side show.

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.

We are also thankful for SBI!, the "do-all-the-techy-stuff-for-you" e-business building platform that made creating this RV resource site possible.
