Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Our survey results show that most full-timers are RVing because they want the freedom and flexibility that is part of the lifestyle. I believe that the best work for RVers allows that freedom and doesn't tie you to one place for months on end.

Part of our income comes from my being an Independent Watkins Associate (ID #362289) within the Summit Group. Most people have no idea what that means. The video on our website explains it much better than what I can here.

Earning a Living with a Website

Websites and blogs are another flexible way for RVers to earn their livings. Here again, you can do the work from wherever, so you aren't committed to staying in one place longer than you want to stay. I suggest you look at SBI. It is a suite of tools, website hosting, SEO, e-zine service, and perhaps most important, an easy to understand instruction guide with an online support forum, all in one package. They do a lot of the technical stuff for you, so you can build a worthwhile website without having to be a computer genius.

Employer Profile

American Land and Leisure, a Campground Concessionaire, Pays RVers Hourly Wages

American Land and Leisure is a concessionaire that maintains and manages campgrounds on federal lands. AL&L hires hundreds of RV workers and pays an hourly wage for seasonal campground jobs.

Right now, they are hiring for seasonal campground positions in California.

Help Wanted Ads Newsletter / Magazine

For nearly 20 years we've been recommending The Caretaker Gazette. I don't write or publish it. I do sell subscriptions to it because I think it is the best newsletter / magazine of its kind. It is for those of you who are looking for a publication that lists page upon page of Help Wanted ads. It is available both as an online publication and a printed on paper magazine. You'll find jobs at campgrounds listed in it, as well as for various other caretaking work, such as jobs at resorts, on farms, and doing personal care.

~~ Order The Caretaker Gazette (or learn more about it) from our website.

New Favorite Work Camper Campground Nominee

MT: Eagle Nest RV Resort

~ from Mollie Pippen Folmar

I would like to nominate Eagle Nest RV Resort for one of the favorite work camper campgrounds. If you want a fantastic place to work and explore, come to Eagle Nest RV Resort in Polson, MT.

This park has a wonderful appreciation for the work campers that I wish more parks embraced. They hire five couples for a park of 56 sites and schedule the work campers to have plenty of time to travel rest, and relax.

The park will be looking for work campers for the 2012 season.

~~ Read more about this resort on the website -- and add your comments.

Finding Your Dream Career Quiz

You hear a lot about your "dream career." But what it is? You've worked for years, maybe decades, earning a living. Now, you're ready to travel and do what you'd really like to do.

But, with all that time focused on doing what you trained to do, or doing the job you sort of fell into years ago, how do you figure out what you'd like to do or what you might be good at doing? How do you find your dream job? This dream career quiz can help.

~~ The quiz is posted on our website. Go there to take it and see for yourself.

Employer Profile Pages: Help Wanted Ads on Steroids for Working RVers

Our employer profile pages are more than your basic, short help wanted ads. They give you information about the business and community, as well as the job and the work duties.

The additional info in these profiles is to help you get a better idea of whether or not the position and the business ambiance is a good match for you, and whether or not you might enjoy your time RVing and working in the particular job location.

~~ See the new employer profile pages on the website.

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.

We are also thankful for SBI!, the "do-all-the-techy-stuff-for-you" e-business building platform that made creating this RV resource site possible.

If you have questions, we're always happy to help. Simply submit them here....
