Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Bob and I continue our stay in southern Texas. The report from home (Alaska) a few days ago was that there is still two feet of snow on the ground. Friends who drove through Canada say they had ice packed roads. We aren't in any rush to experience either.

This issue is heavy on working at state parks. I didn't plan it that way. It's just the way information arrived this past week.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Working RVer Tip

Get your foot in the door at the campground or business where you want to work by being flexible on what position you take. You're more likely to be in the know when your desired position opens up. And, many places promote from within or give current employees first option when a job becomes available.

Your Working While RVing Questions Answered

Work Camp Musicians

~~ A future work camper asks: Do any work camps ever look for musicians? My husband and I would love to start work camping in June of 2012. He plays music. I can do just about anything.

~~ I answered in part: To find the opportunities you are looking for, you'll need to market yourself and your husband. You might do that through a website. Or, you may have CD's made and send them out to campgrounds where you would like to stay. Another way to become known is to participate in jam sessions and fundraising music festivals. It will also help if you have reviews from other venues where your husband has performed, so that you can give the camp owner an idea of how others viewed the performance.

~~ Read the longer version of my answer -- and add your comments -- on the website.

Watkins Summit Group Bus. Info

Would you like to join us in Cancun next spring? Free? All expenses paid for by Watkins?

Watkins just announced the destination for Watkins 2011 Grand Prize Getaway is an all-inclusive, four-star resort in Cancun, Mexico.

New associates have a special Fast Start Program to make it even easier for you to get this free trip.

The Watkins trips that Bob and I have gone on have been top-notch, luxurious, even better than they sound in the travel brochure. They've picked up the tab for airfare, transfers, the resort, food and beverages, entertainment -- even tips and souvenirs.

Part of our income comes from my being an Independent Watkins Associate (ID #362289) within the Summit Group. You could be one, too.

I hope what I’m going to tell you rekindles your faith in your ability to earn all the money you need. I began working from home in the 1970's. We moved to a small community. Welcome!

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.

We are also thankful for SBI!, the "do-all-the-techy-stuff-for-you" e-business building platform that made creating this RV resource site possible.
