Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

I'm writing this issue in Lafayette, LA. Ah, the wonders of being able to work from home -- wherever your home is parked. Temperatures here today were in the 70's, warmer than most summer days at our home in Alaska.

It appears there is a shortage of both skilled and casual workings in this area. Riding around today, I noticed billboards advertising that companies are hiring. Another thing I noticed was that multiple temp staffing agencies had signs out that they needed general laborers. And, there are the usual "Help Wanted" signs on store fronts and marquees. Although I don't know about the others, the temp agencies are presumably hiring short-term workers.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Working RVer Tip

You may be able to work full time at the beginning of the tourist season, part time during peak season, and then full time again for a few days or weeks at the end of the season. That gives you prime time to play. This works because college students and teachers, two groups who make up a large part of the summer workforce, are in class and unavailable at the season's beginning and end.

Welcome!

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.

We are also thankful for SBI!, the "do-all-the-techy-stuff-for-you" e-business building platform that made creating this RV resource site possible.

If you have questions, we're always happy to help. Simply submit them here....
