Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Lots of job listings came in since the last newsletter. There's a mix of those that pay for all hours, those that barter some hours for a site, and those looking for volunteers.

We had a blast of wintry weather this past week. When RVing in cold country, moving snow seems to be regular work. Bob cleared six inches or so off the RV's solar panels one day, just to find them covered again the next. About that time, I was doing the review of Clark's flea market guide, reading about all those markets in southern Arizona, Texas, and Florida -- and admit to feeling a bit of regret that we didn't go south for the winter. If only I could figure out how to be in two places at once, so I could be here to enjoy our Alaska winters and be down south with other snowbirds.

We like hearing from our readers. Post something on the website or drop me an email to let me know what you've done over the winter or what your plans are for spring.

Working RVer Tip

When something doesn't go right at work, you don't necessarily need to "shut-up and take it." Choose a time and place when you can reasonably and respectfully discuss the matter with your supervisor. That means be calm. Don't make threats. Don't do it in front of customers or other staff.

Clark's Flea Market Guide - The Original and Still Favorite Swap Meet Directory

We traveled the USA for years, vending at flea markets all over the country. We didn't have a set circuit. Instead, we picked a general area that we thought we might want to go to and then I started searching to see what shows were in that area. I bought several different flea market directories and they were all okay. But, there was one that I kept going back to: Clark's.

Clark's, published by Dorothy Clark, has served the flea market industry for more than 32 years. It is the most comprehensive of all the directories that I've seen. Flea market owners receive a free basic listing for their market, so it isn't limited to only those who pay for advertising. No wonder it is sometimes called the "Flea Market Bible."

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.

We are also thankful for SBI!, the "do-all-the-techy-stuff-for-you" e-business building platform that made creating this RV resource site possible.

If you have questions, we're always happy to help. Simply submit them here....
