Update from Your RV Workers On Wheels Newsletter Editor

Oddly enough, we're having spring-like weather up here in Alaska. The past few days, we've had rain and our snow is melting. Talk has turned to spring projects and fishing.

It's good to dream. But, it is better to take action and make those dreams come true. Many years ago, I wrote that the main things you need to be a successful working RVer are desire and determination. That is still true today. You can choose to settle for dreaming or you can bet busy and live the life you really want.

Wherever you are in your work and travels, we wish you joy and prosperity,

Coleen

Working RVer Tip

The work place is about business. You can have fun and enjoy your job. But, the reason you are hired is to serve customers, make or sell products, or somehow be a productive asset to the business.

Caretaker Positions ... Volunteering to Earning a Six Figure Income

Property caretakers, at least some of them, receive an annual salary of one hundred thousand dollars. They are likely to be in charge of an estate, managing both grounds and household employees.

The flip side of property caretaking are the volunteer caretaker positions. While some of these offer a beautiful view and a relaxing lifestyle, some don't. Instead, they offer the chance to live in poverty, in rough conditions -- and to help the underprivileged or to support a cause.

Landowners often look for handymen or people with carpentry or mechanical skills. Many property owners seek groundskeepers, gardeners, and workers to tend their orchards, fields, or vineyards.

Some are looking for people to care for their pets or other animals, and to give their property a lived-in appearance. Urban caretakers are more likely to plan dinner parties, do the family's bookkeeping, or work as personal assistants. Caretakers are really care givers.

Your Working While RVing Questions Answered

We have two questions this week from RVers asking about concessionaires and resort management companies. If you've worked for either of these companies, please help your fellow work campers out by letting us know about your experience.

Delaware North Companies - Yellowstone

~~ An RVer asks: Has anyone worked for DNC (Delaware North Companies) in Yellowstone? We have to be there by 3/29. Also, does anyone know a good site to stay in West Yellowstone that early in spring?

~~ Share your experience. Post your comments.

Welcome!

We started this site after corresponding with thousands of RVers, sharing what we’ve learned from our personal experience as full-time RVers, as well as what we've gleaned from employers and managers who hire and work with work campers and other RV workers.

We do hope we've been instrumental in helping you find the right work situation for your RV lifestyle.

We believe there are many advantages to having an RV home based business that we can take on the road with us. We've found a Watkins Summit Group business works for us.

We are also thankful for SBI!, the "do-all-the-techy-stuff-for-you" e-business building platform that made creating this RV resource site possible.

If you have questions, we're always happy to help. Simply submit them here....
